Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic legal guidance on business operations, finance, and strategy.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Negotiate and draft or review commercial contracts, ensuring optimal results for the company.
- Liaise with government departments, regulatory bodies, and external teams to achieve business objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Law (LLB or equivalent) and admission as an attorney.
- At least 3 to 5 years of post-articles experience in-house or as an attorney in a medium to large law firm.
- Strong knowledge of areas such as company law, environmental law, contract law, public procurement law, commercial and regulatory law, mergers & acquisitions, litigation, and drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Excellent written, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation and communication abilities, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team.
- Engage with government entities, regulatory bodies, senior management, and external counsel to navigate complex legislation and regulations.
- Ensure high-quality legal output aligned with SHREQ laws and standards.
- Manage legal risks efficiently and in-house where possible to optimize legal expenditure.
