About the Role

  • As a Drafter at Alexforbes, you will play a key role in providing high-quality drafting services to our clients and business units.

Responsibilities

  • Receive task assignments through our departmental workflow system.
  • Collaborate with consultants to ensure client expectations and legal requirements are met.
  • Deliver accurate and complete drafts within prescribed timeframes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the legal framework, regulatory requirements, and AF consulting advice.
  • Respond to regulator queries and demonstrate a deep understanding of the legal framework.
  • Manage the end-to-end drafting process, including obtaining signatures and submitting rules for registration/approval.
  • Maintain accurate workflow records.

Key Performance Areas

  • Drafting Rules: Ensure that all drafted rules meet the required standards by applying the legal framework, regulatory requirements, and AF consulting advice.
  • Liaise with consultants and regulators to resolve queries efficiently.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Employee Benefits.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Rules Drafter.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Retirement Funds legal framework.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word.
  • Extensive knowledge of Retirement Funds regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of legislation impacting Retirement Funds.
