Job Description

Farm Manager SA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Planning: Develop and implement effective workforce plans and schedules to ensure optimal farm operations.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff against performance and quality standards, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Farm Operations: Implement regenerative farming practices across the farm, ensuring sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation, including staff performance, farm operations, and health and safety.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant agricultural qualification and at least 2 years of relevant farming experience in a managerial position.
  • Experience: Proven track record in managing a large team (65+), experience with banana and macadamia farming, and experience in applying a disciplinary code and conducting hearings.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong admin and record keeping skills, good problem-solving skills, and good interpersonal relationships.
  • Other: Computer literate, valid driver's license, and maintenance and mechanically orientated.
