**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The **MINING** warehouse and logistics supervisor / manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse facility and managing the logistics processes. He / she will ensure that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently, and that inventory levels are accurate. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**

These include, but not limited to, the following:

- Managing warehouse operations: Overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, to ensure efficient and timely operations.
- Supervising warehouse staff: Leading and managing a team of warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, and providing guidance to ensure productivity and performance goals are met.
- Monitoring inventory levels: Regularly monitoring stock levels and implementing procedures to ensure accurate inventory management, including conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Coordinating logistics processes: Managing the logistics processes, including transportation, shipping, and delivery of goods, to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
- Optimizing warehouse layout and storage: Ensuring that the warehouse layout is optimized for efficient storage and retrieval of goods and implementing appropriate storage methods and systems.
- Implementing quality control measures: Implementing and monitoring quality control measures to ensure that goods meet the required standards and customer expectations.
- Developing and implementing procedures: Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Collaborating with suppliers and vendors: Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to inventory or logistics.
- Analysing data and performance metrics: Analysing warehouse and logistics data, such as inventory levels, order fulfilment rates, and transportation costs, to identify trends, optimize processes and improve performance.
- Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as

company policies and procedures, throughout warehouse and logistics operations.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:
These include, but not limited to, the following:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; additional certifications in warehouse management or logistics are preferred, but not essential.
- Proven experience in warehouse management and logistics coordination.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with transportation and shipping processes, including knowledge of customs and international trade regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
