The Seafreight Exports & Cross Border Logistics Controller will be responsible for overseeing and running seafreight exports and cross-border logistics operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing customs processes. Key Responsibilities
- Arranging cargo forwarding
- Obtaining updates from airlines, overseas agents, and suppliers in a timely manner
- Client service support (updating clients with ETA's, cargo readiness, and expected delivery dates)
- Liaising with various shipping lines and co-loaders and knowledgeable of industry jargon
- Drafting and submitting customs entries - advantageous
- Customs tariffing - advantageous
- Invoicing
- Working with different rates of exchange and mathematical calculations
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in multiple facets of the logistics chain with specific expertise in all aspects of ocean freight
- Valid driver's license and own transport
- Computer literate – proficient in Word, Excel, and PDF documents
- Email proficient – capable of drafting and executing grammatically correct and professional emails at high speeds
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications
