The Corporate Services department at Intercare Group seeks to hire a skilled Maintenance Officer for its hospitals and practices in the Gauteng area.

This role involves delivering exceptional customer service by performing various building maintenance tasks, repairs, and preservation activities. You will also be responsible for coordinating special projects related to maintenance and ensuring the overall appearance and functionality of Intercare branches.

Critical Outputs:

  • Perform a wide range of general building maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Maintain hospital facilities, clinical infrastructure, gases, and assets.
  • Complete maintenance requests as assigned.
  • Execute the preventative maintenance plan in conjunction with the line manager.
  • Coordinate special projects as directed.
  • Alert relevant managers of any unusual occurrences or damage.
  • Ensure Intercare vehicles are properly maintained.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Monitor risk-related aspects of hospital technical infrastructure, gases, and assets.
  • Comply with OHS Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Act as a driver when necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Technical qualification
  • Experience in medical equipment and facility maintenance (advantageous)
  • Driver's license Code 10 and PrDP (advantageous)
  • Own transport
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis
