Business Development Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Professional to join Tower Group in the public and private utilities metering space.
The ideal candidate will be a results-driven, business savvy individual who can actively seek out and engage customer prospects to boost top & bottom-line revenue growth and profitability.
Key Performance Areas:
? Develop and implement a customer growth strategy to promote the company's products and services.
? Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities in the Electricity and/or Water metering space.
? Retain and grow existing customer business through technical sales environment expertise.
? Plan to meet sales targets and budgets with strong analytical skills.
? Analyze and investigate pricing, demand & competition to provide value-added solutions to customers.
? Confer with customers and technical staff to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements.
? Conduct research and cold call potential customers to identify potential new markets and customers.
? Create detailed proposal documents and formal bidding process documentation to support sales efforts.
? Prepare & deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to prospective customers.
? Communicate new product developments to existing and prospective clients to stay ahead of the competition.
? Provide sales & forecasts reports to management to inform strategic decisions.
? Manage the sales cycle from inception to completion with strong project management skills.
? Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers through excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements for Success:
? Tertiary Qualification in Business, Electrical and/or Engineering is essential.
? Minimum of Five (5) Years proven sales track record and work experience in the Electricity and/or Water metering space is required.
? Experience in technical sales environment with a proven track record achieving sales targets is necessary.
? Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills are crucial to success in this role.
? Ability to build and maintain customer relationships is vital for growing revenue and market share.
? Capability to grow in a competitive environment with a willingness to travel extensively nationally is essential.
? The ability to handle and influence customers efficiently is critical to meeting sales targets and budgets.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
