Key Responsibilities

As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation on board our cruise ships. This includes:

  • Conducting daily food tastings to ensure that all dishes meet our company's standards
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to forecast food production and plan the daily menu
  • Communicating effectively with the dining operation manager to ensure guest satisfaction and special requests are met
  • Managing inventory and working closely with the provision master to optimize food costs and minimize waste
  • Ensuring that all food preparation areas are clean and meet USPH and internal health standards
  • Participating in meetings with the hotel director and F&B director to discuss operational issues and implement solutions
  • Developing and implementing new menu concepts and recipes to enhance the culinary experience for our guests
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 15 years of experience in large multi-outlet operations or 6-8 years in a similar position
  • A professional hotel school diploma or culinary arts degree
  • HACCP certification and fluency in English
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • A proactive and safety-driven approach to your work
