PBT Group Data Scientist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at PBT Group. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in building and implementing machine learning models to improve business processes and drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Develop and implement data-driven insights to identify trends and opportunities, and provide solutions based on these insights.
  • Model Development and Deployment: Build and deploy machine learning models to improve business processes and drive efficiency.
  • Data Visualization: Develop creative data visualizations to derive actionable intelligence and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Forecasting and Predictive Modeling: Forecast the performance of data relative to business needs and develop predictive models to inform business decisions.
  • Change Management: Drive change methodology and ensure implementation across all projects, working with business stakeholders to develop and implement change management strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ensure effective service delivery, identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency, and maintain service, quality, and desired outputs across the business process.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5-8 years' experience applying analytical methods to business problems, including build and implementation of models (machine learning, GLM, etc.).
  • Skills: Strong research or technical skills, knowledge of SAS, SQL, Python, and Hadoop, and experience working in the general insurance industry.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's/honours degree in either Mathematics/Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Information systems.
