Job Title: Chief Engineering Strategist

We are a cutting-edge technology company undergoing a digital transformation, seeking a talented Principal Engineering Lead to review our engineering processes and maintain a close partnership between architecture and engineering teams. Embracing the goals of our elastic enterprise is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-develop the Technical Strategy with the Head of Technology and drive its successful execution within the engineering teams.
  • Establish incremental steps to progress the organization towards the desired architectural state, allowing for temporary concessions to maintain momentum and ensure ongoing advancement.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office to ensure the successful and timely delivery of technology-driven projects.
  • Act as an ambassador for our culture by leading the engineering teams in a humble and respectful manner, fostering a positive and constructive working environment where we have fun while working hard and encouraging innovation.
  • Define a roadmap that realizes both business and technical goals, knowing both are equally important.
  • Successfully transform into an elastic computing world, working closely with the Head of IT to achieve this in a secure and cost-effective manner.
  • Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.
  • Oversee the management of designing/development and coding of new and current business systems as required.
  • Enforce technology standards and practices, especially focusing on the SDLC that includes architectural and information security goals.
  • Categorize and consolidate technology platforms in a way that aligns with Business Service teams and strategies.
  • Optimize the use of technology products by aligning with the greater Group, embracing the Group Tech Radar and Tech Adoption process, looking for opportunities for reuse or collaboration.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of technical experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of technology trends to build a successful strategy.
  • A proven solutions-focused approach able to turn problems into opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present confidently to large audiences.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to nurture positive collaborative relationships.
Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
