Job Description:

Network Recruitment is seeking an experienced Aerospace Powerplant Test Engineer to join our team. This role will involve working closely with System Engineers to ensure the successful testing and integration of aircraft propulsion and powerplant projects.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and testing techniques. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Siemens NX, is essential. Experience with data analysis and programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB) is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Analysis: Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings. Collaborate with other engineers to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • System Integration: Understand the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems within the powerplant. Assist in the development of system tests. Support the troubleshooting and resolution of system integration issues.
  • Manufacturing and Production: Understand manufacturing processes and tolerances. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design manufacturability. Support the development of manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
  • System Oversight: Support the engineering team in maintaining system configuration during development and the introduction of new powerplant options. Collaborate with the design and integration teams to ensure system integrity and performance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Experience with powerplants, thermodynamics, or propulsion systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Siemens NX.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and testing techniques.
  • Experience with data analysis and programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerances.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
