Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team at Perfect Placement Recruitment. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in the testing and validation of mechanical and mechatronics systems.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. You will be responsible for designing and analyzing 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (Siemens NX), collaborating with other engineers to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards, and assisting in the development of system tests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and Analysis: Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings, collaborate with other engineers to ensure design integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • System Integration: Understand the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems within the powerplant, assist in the development of system tests, support the troubleshooting and resolution of system integration issues, and manage the data acquisition system for the engine facility and flight platform.
  • Manufacturing and Production: Understand manufacturing processes and tolerances, collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design manufacturability, and support the development of manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
  • System Oversight: Support the engineering team in maintaining system configuration during development and the introduction of new powerplant options, collaborate with the design and integration teams to ensure system integrity and performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, 2-5 years of related industry experience, proficiency in CAD software (particularly Siemens NX), and strong understanding of mechanical design principles and testing techniques.

Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between R20,000 and R40,000 per month, depending on your level of experience. We also offer beneficial requirements such as strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and preferably 2-3 years of experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
