About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planner to join our Supply Chain team at McCormick & Company, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing materials shortages, coordinating action plans, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and coordinate action plans to manage materials shortages and ensure satisfactory completion of shortage reports.
  • Expedite material as per SAP recommendations to support business requirements timeously.
  • Maintain SAP relevant parameters as regulated by management and propose continuous improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide material schedules to all suppliers on a frequency determined by the business and minimize or eliminate excess inventory.
  • Proactively eliminate Slow-moving and Obsolete stock (SLOB) and ensure the maintenance of a lean inventory system.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a supply chain role working with suppliers and a sound understanding of FMCG company environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to proactively contribute to customer presentations.
  • Cross-functional team player and able to operate effectively within a matrix structure.
  • Flexible approach and innovative problem solver.
  • Exposure to ERP/SC systems (SAP) and Advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Potential and desire to build a career within Supply Chain.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
