Electrical Engineering Trainee Opportunity in Amanzimtoti

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineering graduate or Trade Tested Electrician to join our team as an Electrical Engineering Trainee through our 12-month Yes4Youth Learnership programme.

About the Role:
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience and skills in electrical engineering, with the chance to work on various projects and assist experienced electricians.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to breakdowns, performing daily/weekly maintenance tasks, and working on projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Electrician in maintaining equipment and facilities
  2. Attend to breakdowns and faults promptly and efficiently
  3. Perform daily/weekly maintenance tasks as per plan
  4. Work on projects as required, under the supervision of experienced electricians
  5. Capture meter and instrumentation readings and data as needed
  6. Be willing to work overtime as and when necessary
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Trade Test certification or degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be between 18 and 34 years old
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be unemployed
  • Must be willing to commit to the full 12-month programme

Estimated Salary: R140,000 - R180,000 per annum
