Telebest is seeking a highly skilled Principal: Credit and Post Investment Officer to join our team in Durban.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disbursement and Monitoring: Support the disbursement of funds and assess whether funds have been applied for the intended purposes.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee and monitor the implementation of projects.
  • Developmental Outcomes: Monitor whether the intended developmental outcomes are achieved.
  • Investment Quality: Lead the proactive monitoring of investments on a continual basis to ascertain the quality of the book.
  • Financial Analysis: Ensure that client financial statements are received on time and analysed to determine the financial health of investments.
  • Covenant Monitoring: Verify adherence to pre-determined covenants, undertakings and milestones as per the funding agreement.
  • Site Visits: Plan and execute periodic site visits to clients for performance and continual risk monitoring.
  • Turnaround Solutions: Identify early warning signs of deterioration and institutes timeous turnaround solutions.
  • Knowledge Management: Oversees knowledge management activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: B Com Honours or Post Graduate Diploma in a related field, CFA, MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 8+ years' experience in a lending environment, investment banking, management consulting, development finance, corporate finance or similar field.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in corporate finance- essential.
  • Credit Risk Skills: Deep understanding of the lending and credit risk environment.
  • Financial Modelling: Strong credit risk skills, financial modelling, risk management and restructuring capabilities.
  • Corporate Finance: Understanding of corporate finance principles.
  • Regulations: Familiarity with regulations in the industry.
