Savory Flavor Innovator

We are seeking a skilled Savory Flavor Innovator to join our team at Carlysle Human Capital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new savory flavors to expand our product range.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flavor creation and development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry. A BSc degree or diploma in Science or Chemistry is also required. Additionally, formal training in flavor creation and experience working in the African market will be beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing new savory flavors to expand our product range
• Create and match flavors and adapt existing flavors to meet client expectations.
• Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines as set out in briefs.
• Provide technical support and expertise to the team and other departments including sales.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• BSc degree or diploma in Science or Chemistry
• At least 5 years flavor creation/development experience
• Savory flavor creation experience
• Formal training in flavor creation will be beneficial
• Experience and understanding of the African market and related categories will be beneficial
• Regulatory knowledge: Foodstuffs, Cosmetic & Disinfectants Act 54 of 1972
• GCMS operation and analysis will be beneficial
