Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Achieve cost centre financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by effectively managing expenses and WIP.
  • Customer Service: Resolve internal customer queries and ensure effective communication between team and management.
  • Quality Control: Ensure service work is carried out in compliance with quality standards (OEM Guidelines) and apply warranty policies and procedures.
  • Team Management: Lead a team environment that enables maximum productivity and profitability, and manage the competency development of team members.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Report team KPIs and prospects, and ensure CC/SOR compliance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Grade 12 and a minimum of 6 years' experience as a Mechanic General, Trade Test qualified in a relevant trade.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years' field service mechanic experience with substantial troubleshooting exposure.
  • Skills: Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving Equipment Machines, well-imbedded machine specific technical knowledge and skills, sound interpersonal and communication skills, good technical report writing skills, basic business and financial understanding, computer literate and good business writing knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Caterpillar Machine and Product Knowledge: Good and experienced knowledge of Caterpillar machines and products.
