Job Title: Civil Engineer/Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer/Technologist to join our team at Lusapho Professional Services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with a focus on urban development and municipal engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.
  • Assist clients with project inception, including investigation of alternative solutions to problems and compilation of technical reports.
  • Compile and review technical reports, project reports, and data collection, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage project staff, including mentoring, coaching, and training in the field of civil engineering.
  • Maintain ISO 9001 quality assurance standards and perform complex civil designs, reviewing all project designs and drawings.
  • Provide technical support and assist as reviewer with design reviews of other projects.
  • Initiate project design reviews, prepare manhour budgets, and control project finances.
  • Initiate client surveys and request client reference letters, archive project to current requirements, and compile project sheets.
  • Project management, including the preparation of contract documentation, technical specifications, and monitoring and administration of contracts for construction work.
  • Assist in the procurement of new work, marketing, and tendering, as well as client engagement and staff management.

Requirements:

  • BSC/B-Tech in Civil Engineering.
  • 8-10 years of experience in municipal engineering projects, focusing on Water and Wastewater Treatment, Pumpstation, Sizing pumps, Pipeline Designs, Bulk sewerage, and Water systems.
