Civil Engineering Technologist Job Description

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist to join our client's dynamic team in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design municipal services from conception through to construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design processes, utilizing software tools for drafting and modeling.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and share best practices within the team to drive efficiency and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech) or eligibility to register within the next 12 months.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with expertise in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards, with project management experience an advantage.
