Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage department.

Main Responsibilities
  • To effectively manage day-to-day activities, maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a positive team working environment.
  • Assist with rostering, taking into consideration forecast, staff requests, etc. to ensure adequate staffing levels for each service period.
  • Ensure beverage costs are maintained within established targets by monitoring inventory levels and adjusting ordering accordingly.
  • To handle guest complaints professionally and promptly, resolving issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
  • Conduct staff training including induction and product knowledge to enhance employee skills and confidence.
  • Counsel staff if not performing to the Outlet's standards, providing constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Attend and actively participate in necessary meetings to stay informed and provide updates on key issues.
  • To take charge of the outlet/area in the absence of the Manager, making decisions and leading a team as required.
  • Daily stock ordering to ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels.
  • Flexibility to work in all F&B areas, supporting colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience in an F&B department, preferably in a four-star hotel or similar establishment.
  • Experience in rostering, staff scheduling, and managing staffing levels to meet business needs.
  • Ability to manage beverage costs within budget, analyzing data to inform decision-making.
  • Proven ability to conduct staff training, including induction and product knowledge to enhance employee skills and confidence.
  • Capable of taking charge in the absence of the Manager, making decisions and leading a team as required.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and guests.
  • Willingness to work in all F&B areas, supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Understanding of the food and beverage industry, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and excellence.
