Job Overview

MSC Cruises is seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to oversee the culinary operations in our Steakhouse venue. This role involves managing food preparation, stock control, and team management, while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

Main Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Supervise the preparation of food, adhering to company standards and Public Health regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, to maintain efficient operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve departmental goals.
  • Event Coordination: Organize special events and food promotions in collaboration with the Specialty Restaurant Chef.
  • Menu Development: Work with the culinary team to plan and cost menus, trial dishes, and products.
  • F&B Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of F&B equipment, ensuring a clean and hygienic galley and equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate, with preference given to those with completed technical education in hospitality or culinary school.
  • Certifications: Food Safety/HACCP certification and demonstrated understanding of Food Safety principles.
  • Experience: Proven ability to work in a harmonious team environment and 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Cruise Experience: Previous cruise ship experience required.
Salary Estimate:

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on experience.
