Job Description

**About the Role**

Salesworx is seeking a highly skilled Commodities Trader to join our team. As a Commodities Trader, you will be responsible for conducting trading business for metal and mineral related products, as well as researching new metal resources and opportunities for future trade and investment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trading Business: Conduct trading business for metal and mineral related products, including water stopping material and copper wire rods, as well as secondhand IT products such as PCs and mobile phones.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research for new metal resources such as graphite, titanium, tantalum, and copper, and make reports on potential trade and investment opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze governmental policies and country risks of target countries where metal resources exist, including mining and environment related regulations, general security of the country, and convertible risk of local currency.
  • Supply Chain Management: Visit and inspect mines, logistics, and ports to check the feasibility of the overall supply chain.
  • Business Development: Conduct basic research for the potential of metal recycling business in the Middle East and Africa, and make reports on potential opportunities.
  • ITAD and ITAM: Conduct ITAD and ITAM business in the Middle East and Africa, including IT units resell, reuse, and recycle business.
  • e-Waste and Copper Scrap: Off-take e-waste and copper scrap from the Middle East and Africa for the Asian market.
  • Lithium Ion Battery Sales: Sell LIB in the Middle East and Africa and recycle spent LIB from the region.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Perform any additional ad-hoc requests and requirements for the company.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in the mining and metal industry, as well as commodities trading.
  • Regional Knowledge: Accustomed to working in the Middle East and Africa region.
  • Travel: Ability to travel, both nationally and internationally.
