Key Responsibilities:
  • Effective clinical leadership
  • Implementing the nursing care plan and co-ordinating the delivery of treatment plans to achieve clinical outcomes
  • Functioning as a clinical expert in achieving patient outcomes
  • Maintaining staff competence and creating an environment conducive to learning
  • Promoting customer satisfaction and addressing complaints
  • Implementing national quality initiatives to improve clinical outcomes
  • Identifying clinical and safety risks and implementing corrective action
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in nursing
  • Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (Speciality)
  • Relevant experience in nursing management
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Current registration with South African Nursing Council
  • Basic understanding of labour legislation and financial principles
  • Computer proficiency (MS office)
  • Driver's license & own transport
