Tailor and Pattern Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tailor and Pattern Maker to join our team at Dynamic Outsourced Solutions. As a sewing machine operator, you will be responsible for constructing and altering attire and other pieces using patterns, intuition, or both, depending on each task's specifications.

• Design and Create Garments: Decide on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences and meet with consumers and inspect patterns to determine each job's requirements.
• Alterations and Repairs: Perform alterations to existing patterns or create your own ones, select suitable thread and place this onto the spool spin, cut, sew, and glue fabric according to the requirements of each article.
• Fabric Handling and Finishing: Affix buttons, zippers, clasps, laces, and similar fittings, operate the foot pedal, plus the stitch length and width regulators, as you sew, and replace the sewing machine's needle as required.
• Maintenance and Repair: Detect and repair basic faults with the sewing machine as they occur and schedule repairs for the sewing machine and its fittings, as needed.

• Education and Training: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, completion of a sewing course is preferred.
• Experience and Skills: Demonstratable experience as a sewing machine operator, ability to create, read, and follow patterns, working knowledge of sewing machine mechanics, and outstanding eyesight or utilization of corrective measures.
• Personal Qualities: Innovative, thoughtful, and attentive to detail, top-notch interpersonal skills, and ability to manage your time effectively.

R120 000 - R150 000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
