About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a CA(SA) with 5 years of article experience to take on a challenging role that requires strong analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the management of liquidity for the whole organization, effectively managing foreign exchange risk, and maintaining active communication with lenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • To acquire an in-depth knowledge of the broader business environment and leverage this expertise to drive strategic financial decisions.
  • To envision, plan, and execute financial projects with precision, ensuring timely delivery and effective budget management.
  • To improve and document financial control systems, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • To create comprehensive cash flow forecasting models and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • To supervise the management of liquidity for the whole organization, ensuring adequate funding and minimizing risk exposure.
  • To effectively manage foreign exchange risk, developing strategies to mitigate potential losses and optimize returns.
  • To maintain active communication with lenders, providing covenant and business case reports and negotiating favorable terms.
  • To analyze and evaluate legal contracts, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • To direct corporate finance strategies and tax structuring activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • CA(SA) qualification non-negotiable.
  • 5 years of article experience.
  • Retail industry experience highly advantageous.
  • Treasury experience highly advantageous.

What We Offer

A competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $180,000 based on location and experience.
