About the RoleThe DevOps Engineer role at Mondia Group will play a pivotal part in defining, testing, implementing, and monitoring DevOps processes. The engineer will work closely with the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams and development teams to create effective CI/CD implementations, configuring and maintaining them.
- Proactively monitor and fix issues in the development lifecycle.
- Support senior software/system engineers in integrating, configuring, deploying, and managing centrally provided common cloud services.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards and industry best practices.
- Assist with the release management of new software into the production platform.
- Troubleshoot security-related issues and assist incident management within the organization.
- Implement and support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Ensure continuous availability of various tools supporting SCM & release management, including source control, continuous integration, and change management.
- Engage with cross-functional co-located teams in design, development, and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring, and self-healing.
- Migrate existing data center infrastructure.
- Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common capabilities.
- Ensure the availability and performance of platforms for customers 24x7x365 with a 99.9% SLA.
- Provide service support using DevOps, continuous delivery, and ITIL concepts for effective operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
The ideal candidate has exceptionally high ownership, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment. They should demonstrate excellence in service delivery and problem-solving, breaking down complex information into understandable and actionable items.
Experience in the mobile digital entertainment industry is highly desirable. Other qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or information technology-related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools and automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with at least two cloud environments, with AWS being mandatory.
- Expertise in AWS, including networking services, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS IAM.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud security architecture.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, including TypeScript, Java, Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Git, Maven, and configuration management tools.
- Professional experience with microservices, containers, and orchestration.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Linux OS.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools like New Relic and OpenSearch.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong automation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to follow through to completion.
- AWS certifications are highly desired.
- Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, OSCP) are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
