Job Title: Payroll Administrator SpecialistAbout the Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator Specialist to support our payroll operations at HR Genie.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Accurately process monthly and bi-weekly payroll using Sage 300, ensuring timely payment to employees.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate employee data management and timesheet recording for seamless payroll processing.
  • Wage Computations: Compute wages and salary adjustments in line with company policies and labor legislation.
  • Query Resolution: Handle payroll queries promptly and professionally, liaising with internal and external parties as required.
  • Payslip Distribution: Prepare and distribute payslips, IRP5s, and other payroll documentation to employees.
  • Month-End Procedures: Perform payroll-related month-end procedures, including importing batches and generating reports for management review.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain compliance with labor legislation and ensure confidentiality of payroll information at all times.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly income statements and balance sheet items for management reporting purposes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Conduct filing and scanning of payroll documents and undertake ad-hoc payroll duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Payroll, or Human Resources.
  • Experience: At least 35 years of experience in a similar payroll administration role.
  • Skill Set: Strong attention to detail, hands-on experience with payroll and HRIS software (preferably Sage 300), excellent time-management skills, strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Excel, and good knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is R650,000 - R850,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and takes into account the level of expertise required for the position.
