Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SAIPA Traineeship to join our team at Human Value. As a SAIPA Traineeship, you will be responsible for capturing transactions in accounting records, performing reconciliations, and interpreting clients' accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture and Record Transactions: Accurately capture and record financial transactions in our accounting system.
  • Perform Reconciliations: Reconcile financial statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Interpret Accounting Records: Analyze and interpret clients' accounting records to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compile Financial Statements: Compile annual financial statements for clients, ensuring compliance with IFRS for SMEs.
  • Perform Tax Calculations: Calculate and complete income tax returns and provisional tax returns for clients.
  • Manage VAT and PAYE: Perform VAT and PAYE calculations and submit returns on E-filing.
  • Support Accountants: Assist accountants with various client matters, including administrative work and resolving queries.
  • Meet Competency Framework: Perform tasks required in terms of the SAIPA competency framework.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bcom in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, or an equivalent degree.
  • Education: Bcom (Hons) in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, or an equivalent degree.
  • Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work overtime when necessary.
  • Personal Qualities: Hardworking and deadline-driven, with a commitment to professional and ethical conduct.
