Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work on a variety of electrical systems in vehicles, including headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and more. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of basic electronics principles and be able to install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair electrical equipment in vehicles, including headlights, taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and more.
  • Work with computer-controlled engine management systems and other systems.
  • Service, identify, and repair faults on electronically controlled machines.
  • Install electrical components and equipment, such as gauges, lights, radios, alternators, starter motors, and wiring looms.
  • Test repaired parts/vehicles for safety using special tools.
  • Install electrically operated accessories, such as radios, strobes, cameras, and convertors.
  • Use meters, diagnostic instruments, laptops, and circuit diagrams to find electrical faults.
  • Test and replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors, magneto's, and related items.
  • Use hand tools, specialized electrical tools, and instruments, including drills, grinders, presses, and lathes.
  • Follow safety and protection instructions and rules at work.
  • Solder or weld when repairing electrical parts.
  • Repair and service air-conditioning systems.
  • Utilize the mobile management system to capture daily timesheets, service reports, vehicle checklists, installation checklists, surveys, etc.
  • Submit all electronic reports within 24 hours of completion of job.
Requirements:
  • Matric
  • Trade Qualification (Automotive Electrician)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within the field
  • Driver's License
  • Product a Knowledge (Auto Electrical products)
  • Knowledge of earth moving equipment
