Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement design concepts for publications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and visual appeal.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design elements align with brand guidelines and overall business objectives.
  3. Utilize DTP software (Adobe Suite, especially InDesign) to produce layouts for each page of the publication, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Manage internal systems, including workbooks, communication, and timesheets, to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Meet required deadlines and tight turnarounds, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  6. Fully understand and adhere to DTP processes and systems for communication, circulation, FA checks, and disking.
  7. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the FA checklist, ensuring each job undergoes the necessary checks.
  8. Select and apply formatting, such as type size and style, column width, and spacing, to create visually appealing publications.
  9. Select and check colors, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the publication.
  10. Exercise excellent attention to detail, ensuring all publications meet the highest standards of quality.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant years of experience in DTP Art Direction, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and expertise.
  2. Experience working within a live retail environment would be advantageous, demonstrating your ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
  3. Strong understanding of pressures and deadlines, with a proven track record of meeting tight turnarounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Art Direction, or equivalent experience.
  2. Proficiency in Adobe software, particularly InDesign.
  3. Mac knowledge, with experience working in a Mac environment.
