Remedial Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled remedial education specialist to join our Academic Support Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remedial therapy in a private practice capacity as an independent practitioner.
  • Conduct assessments of boys' learning and develop individual therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with the Head of the ASU to implement classroom strategies and monitor progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A qualification in teaching and a postgraduate qualification in inclusive/special needs/remedial education.
  • Registration with SACE and relevant certifications.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in a school setting would be advantageous.

Candidate Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of inclusive education and a sound knowledge of different educational needs and how to address these.
  • Strong administration skills and the ability to effectively manage an independent practice.
