NewBridge Graduate Institute invites applications for a Professor of Computer Science position. As a renowned expert in your field, you will teach first-year students the fundamentals of computer science, including programming in C++, Python, HTML, and JavaScript.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver engaging lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles. You will also be responsible for assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to curriculum development and review.

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of teaching excellence, a strong understanding of computer science principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles.
  • Design and develop course content, instructional materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor student progress, providing individualized feedback and support to ensure they meet their academic goals.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • Administer and mark assessments, assignments, and examinations, ensuring fairness and consistency in grading.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement comprehensive assessment strategies.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Student Support and Engagement
  • Offer academic guidance, mentoring, and consultation hours to support student learning and well-being.
  • Identify students requiring additional support and develop targeted interventions to address their needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements:
  • A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Prior teaching experience, preferably in computer science.
  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal).
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using digital learning tools.
  • Ongoing studies in the discipline and/or a research record.
