Job Responsibilities

This role involves contributing to the development and execution of profitable Structured Finance solutions that align with Nedbank's business strategy.

  • The ideal candidate will assist in securing mandates that enhance client service by achieving financial results set by management.
  • They will collaborate in the structuring of deals and advise clients on funding options by originating, arranging, implementing, and refinancing Structured Finance transactions for clients efficiently, within risk parameters.
  • Maintaining market share of Structured Finance deals through effective client pitches is a key responsibility.
  • The candidate will contribute to deal structuring, origination, implementation, and monitoring, taking corrective action when required, by compiling and pitching presentations to prospective clients, credit papers for the Credit Committee, and assisting stakeholders in transaction implementation.
  • Key responsibilities also include cross-selling Nedbank products by staying up-to-date with offerings regarding quality, cost, business expectations, and compliance.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective transaction execution, adhering to risk standards, and take corrective action when necessary by modelling, researching, analysing investment proposals, and executing legal agreements.
  • They will also enhance deal origination by providing multidisciplinary solutions, resolving work problems, delivering output to clients, and refining coverage.
  • This role requires implementing deals appropriately, adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements by developing, maintaining, and running risk and pricing models.
  • The ideal candidate will establish and maintain professional relationships by understanding client needs and consistently meeting their expectations.
  • Fostering collaborative client and internal relationships by providing high-quality advice, execution, and delivery on new and existing transactions meeting business needs is essential.
  • Continuous communication with internal stakeholders and ensuring a smooth workflow are crucial to meet client needs continuously.
  • The candidate will participate in initiatives promoting transformation goals by engaging in Nedbank Culture building activities (e.g. staff surveys).
  • Supporting corporate responsibility initiatives aligned with business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy) is also important.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and systems by recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank is a key aspect of this role.
  • Supporting the achievement of business objectives, strategy, and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plans, ensuring delivered systems, processes, services, and solutions are aligned is a critical responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will seek training courses and career progression through input and feedback from management.
  • Completing personal development plan activities within specified timeframes is also expected.
  • Sharing knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interactions is essential.
