Records Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Records Management Specialist to join our team at Thusa Batho Labour Solutions. This is a three-month contract opportunity with the possibility of a three-month extension.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing records management policies, coordinating the transfer of records to storage facilities, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive document movement plan and manage its implementation
- Assess the current records/document management environment and create a roadmap for a unified system
- Develop and review applicable policies, processes, and procedures for records management
- IDentify, develop, and inform electronic records management system requirements and development needs
- Classify data according to indexing methods and protocols
- Establish an on-site filing room system and resources
- Communicate records management policies, processes, and procedures to staff departments and branches
- Develop and implement a change management process
- Maintain adherence to records management policies, processes, and procedures across the organisation
- Participate in organisation-wide records-led initiatives and meetings
- Capacitate each department with relevant tools and skills for record maintenance
- Instruct department staff on procedures for retrieving records from storage facilities
- Review records transfer lists for accuracy and completeness
- Resolve problems with the transfer process through effective communication
- Relevant certification/qualification in records/document management field
- More than 5 years of Records Management experience
