About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at E2E Staffing (PTY) LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing and warehousing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Management
    • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
    • Lead a team of maintenance personnel to ensure efficient management of maintenance activities, including planning, coordination, and record-keeping.
    • Ensure adherence to maintenance and service schedules, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance activities, including capital expenditures and operating expenses.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Purchasing and Finance Management
    • Manage the procurement of maintenance materials and services, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
    • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance-related expenses, including inventory management and asset maintenance.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to purchasing and finance.
  • Health and Safety
    • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to health and safety.
  • Human Resources
    • Manage a team of maintenance personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure maintenance personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to human resources.
  • Communications and Reporting
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure timely and accurate reporting of maintenance activities.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to management on maintenance activities, including budget performance and key performance indicators.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Mechanical Engineering diploma/degree is essential.
  • Experience
    • 5-7 years' experience in maintenance management role.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including mechanical and basic electrical systems.
    • Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
    • Experience in planning maintenance operations.
    • Ability to develop and maintain budgets and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
    • Highly aware of safety, health, and hygiene stipulations.
    • Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain processes.
    • Competent in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
  • Computer Literacy
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and drawing software.
