Job Description:

The Supplier Insights Engagement Coordinator role at ShopriteX is focused on leveraging the company's rich customer and transactional retail data assets to enable strategic insights for internal and external stakeholders. This involves gathering insights using a software-as-a-service (SaaS) insights platform, training stakeholders on its use, and effectively communicating findings and trends through various mediums.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and support internal and external stakeholders to derive actionable insights from data using the insights platform.
  • Facilitate insights development, including data interpretation, recommendations, and presenting results to stakeholders.
  • Work with suppliers to understand their insights needs and coordinate strategies for delivering on supplier objectives.
  • Support suppliers in accessing and leveraging the insights technology platform.
  • Manage incidents through the incident case management system, identifying incidents requiring assistance, allocating tasks, monitoring progress, and escalating to management if necessary.
  • Compile trend reports, facilitate sign-off by primary stakeholders, and distribute reports to relevant stakeholders using an email marketing platform.
  • Support Insights Engagement Managers with creating presentations for their portfolio clients.
  • Perform insights platform demonstrations to prospective supplier customers and hand over sales opportunities to the commercial team lead.
  • Proactively explore insights that can be translated into initiatives.
  • Support suppliers in translating insights into feasible action plans in collaboration with suppliers and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate strategic and tactical workshops to support stakeholders in uncovering opportunities and implementing reporting measures using the insights platform.
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to leverage data and shift mindsets from facts and findings to insights and evidence that drive sound business decisions.
  • Conduct investigations to uncover key issues, benchmarks, and best practices.
  • Identify data-driven marketing and advertising opportunities within your portfolio of clients and refer to our media network business.
  • Cross- and upsell suppliers onto other packages and services.
  • Retain supplier accounts.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
  • +2 years' experience in a similar capacity or role, including key account management roles in an analytics or SaaS context.
  • Experience working with large data sets, using analytics / insights platforms to explore data, and presenting insights in a way that delivers actionable insights and derives value.
  • Well-versed in communicating business recommendations and insights into well-packaged and visually appealing presentations.
  • Proven success working with FMCG brands, category, shopper, or retail insights to shape and inform business decision-making.
  • Experience in delivering insights in either a large retail organisation or within a supplier business context.
  • Experience cross- and upselling solutions.
  • Proficient in using analytics or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with retailer-specific data (POS, Retailer Rewards Card data etc.).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms.
