We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Legal Advisor to join our team at Chainlink Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our clients across various industries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support on HR issues to employees and management, ensuring compliance with HR practices and culture.
  • Industrial Relations: Ensure that our company's disciplinary code and policies align with all statutory Acts, advising management on disciplinary code and procedures.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent.
  • HR Administrative System: Maintain an effective HR system, including employment contracts, reporting, and ensuring the proper operation of all HR processes.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, implement suitable programs, evaluate outcomes, and develop and compile ATR and WSP.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Ensure that all company policies and procedures are up-to-date and in line with legislation.
  • Employment Equity: Update EE Plan and Reports, EE committee meetings, and submissions to the Department of Labour.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attending to submission of injuries on duty.
  • Attending to submission of Annual return due to the Compensation Fund.
  • Attending to CCMA matters, including drafting of notices, attending arbitration, and settling matters.
  • Legal: Provide advice and assistance with all legal matters for all companies in the group, drafting legal opinions, and reviewing contracts.
  • General Duties: Oversee the payroll function, act as Office Manager at Head Office, and serve as a Non-Executive Director at Private Game Reserve.

Requirements:

  • LLB degree.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of legal working experience.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English.

Travel Requirements:

National travel will be required from time to time.
