Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Senior Workshop Operations Manager to join TrudyQ Consulting in Retreat, a renowned service centre specialising in Land Rover Service & Maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-level customer relationship management, technical expertise, and support while managing the workshop effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Management: Oversee the management, efficiency, and utilisation of technicians to ensure seamless job distribution and completion.
  • Technical Expertise: Ensure all related administration is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Verify accurate and timely processing of all job card write-ups and job completion status.
  • Maintenance: Manage facilities, tools, and equipment to maintain optimal workshop performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations and ensure ongoing knowledge of Technical/Engineering practices and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional client service and relationship management while up-selling opportunities and achieving targets.

Requirements:

  • Matric (NQF4) and relevant trade/mechanical qualification.
  • Exceptional diagnostic skills with a diagnostic technician trade test advantageous.
  • Previous workshop management/supervisory/team lead experience within a niche, service-oriented workshop environment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the Land Rover Brand (Service, Maintenance, Diagnostics).
  • Fully Computer Literate (MS Office Suite Applications).
  • Good physical health to perform hands-on tasks.
  • Proven track record in a technical service and maintenance workshop environment.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
