Job Description:
As a Credit and Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in leading and managing our Credit and Operations team. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supervising daily activities in loan underwriting, account management, and collections
• Streamlining processes and enhancing operational efficiencies
• Developing and implementing effective debt collection operational plans
• Tracking performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and making improvements to systems and processes
• Ensuring compliance with company credit policies, managing overdue accounts, and minimizing bad debts
• Conducting daily dipstick of disbursed loans to ensure policy compliance
• Monitoring customer accounts to ensure timely repayment and adherence to loan schedules
• Collaborating with stakeholders to adapt policies to regulatory changes and market conditions
• Providing internal and external audits with necessary information and implementing agreed actions
• Responding to internal and external audit queries
• Leading departmental meetings and providing insights on operational performance
• Assisting in implementing system upgrades or automation to enhance efficiency
• Analyzing credit data to assess policy effectiveness and recommending changes to improve risk management
• Identifying potential risks in the loan portfolio and implementing strategies to mitigate them
• Addressing delinquent accounts and reducing the company's exposure to credit risk
• Preparing monthly Risk Control Self-Assessment reports
