We are seeking a Trading Activity Monitoring Lead to join our team. As a key member of our compliance and risk management department, you will be responsible for monitoring trading activity and ensuring compliance with JSE trading rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to detect insider trading and other prohibited practices.
  2. Monitor real-time trading activity and identify potential market abuse.
  3. Collaborate with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) to investigate and prosecute cases of market abuse.
  4. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management on market abuse trends and risks.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Financial / Quantitative Field (Maths, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Big Data, etc.).
  • 5 years' experience preferably in market surveillance or a related field.
