PSS Recruitment seeks a talented Operations Consultant to join our team, reporting to the Team Manager: Intermediary Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA). Key responsibilities include reviewing and capturing accurate member data, analysing data for potential sanctions and adverse media screening reports, understanding FICA processes and systems, and providing input into FICA-related projects and system enhancements.

This role requires a strong understanding of FICA regulations, risk management principles, and excellent communication skills. The Operations Consultant will work closely with various departments, processing tasks in all facets of the department and resolving investigations from start to end.

Key qualifications include:

  • Degree in Operational Risk Management/Compliance/Legal is highly desirable.

Relevant experience in policy administration and compliance monitoring would be beneficial. Familiarity with FICA processes and systems is essential.

Key skills and knowledge include:

  • Knowledge of Financial institutions.
  • FAIS and FICA knowledge.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office Package).
    • Familiarity with risk management principles and practices.
    • Excellent administration skills.
    • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Strong organisational skills.
    • Good business sense.
    • Exposure in dealing with members, brokers, and advisors is an advantage.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Good problem-solving abilities.
    • Solution-driven and take accountability and responsibility for own work.
    • Deadline and target driven particularly in a production environment.
    • Adaptable.
    • Ability to work within a teamwork environment.
    • Stress tolerance and resilience.
