Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable, including receiving and processing invoices, reconciling payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process invoices from trade and sundry creditors
  • Verify the validity of tax invoices and credit notes
  • Capture and allocate transactions using the correct general ledger codes
  • Reconcile and pay trade and sundry creditors
  • Follow up on queries and maintain up-to-date accounts
  • Establish and maintain subsidiary accounts
  • Reconcile entries to balance subsidiary accounts
  • Maintain a balanced general ledger
  • Prepare a trial balance for the accountants
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing accounting information
Requirements:
  • Matric and relevant tertiary qualification
  • 2 years' experience as a creditors clerk/bookkeeper
  • Sound organizational and accuracy skills
  • Bookkeeping principles
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
