As a Research Associate in DNA Analysis at North West University, you will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge projects in human genetics.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in molecular biology and a passion for research.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field, along with HPCSA registration as a Medical Biological Scientist in Human Genetics.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform laboratory analyses, including sample reception, logging, processing, and quality assurance.

You will work closely with our team to develop and validate new methods, participate in quality assurance and accreditation, and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field
  • HPCSA registration as a Medical Biological Scientist in Human Genetics
  • Minimum of three years' laboratory analysis experience
