North West University is seeking a highly skilled Genetic Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting genetic and genomic test results.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field, along with HPCSA registration as a Medical Biological Scientist in Human Genetics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory analyses, including sample reception, logging, processing, and quality assurance.

In addition to technical skills, the ability to maintain high standards of professionalism and adhere to ISO 15189 standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret genetic and genomic test results
  • Provide clinical reports as per laboratory and international standards

The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and validation of new methods, participate in quality assurance and accreditation, and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
