Job Title: Tax Accountant CA(SA)

Network Recruitment is seeking a skilled Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing annual financial statements, managing the control assessment system, and assisting with cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Control Assessment System Management: Manage the control assessment system (CATS) to ensure efficient and effective financial reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist with cash flow management, including forecasting and analysis.
  • External Auditor Liaison: Act as the primary contact for external auditors, providing necessary information and support.
  • Tax Compliance: Complete corporate income tax and related schedules, as well as assist with transfer pricing documentation.
  • Statutory Submissions: Manage statutory submissions and filings, including provisional tax, deferred tax, and monthly VAT returns.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, conduct bi-annual fixed asset and inventory counts, and prepare fixed asset reports.
  • Financial Reporting: Support month-end closing, backup the Finance Manager, and prepare journals and ensure accurate expense recording.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • CA(SA) Accreditation: CA(SA) accreditation is preferred, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Taxation Knowledge: A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred, with a strong understanding of taxation principles and practices.
  • SAIT Qualification: SAIT qualification is beneficial, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Carbon Tax Knowledge: Knowledge of carbon tax is highly beneficial, with a strong understanding of its application and implications.
  • Experience: 5+ years of post-article experience is essential, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and tax compliance.
