We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of our Non-Profit Organisation entities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic organisation and contribute to the success of our financial operations. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including board members and external auditors
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and subsidiary ledgers
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Accounting, with SAIPA/CIMA accreditation highly advantageous
  • Completion of SAICA or SAIPA articles with a mid-tier firm
  • Proficiency in Sage Pastel, MS Suite, and MS Excel software
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Dynamic interpersonal and relationship building skills
