Job Title: Data Analysis Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analysis Expert to join our team at IX Engineers.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented data analyst to work with us and contribute to the growth of our organization. As a Data Analysis Expert, you will be responsible for analyzing large amounts of raw information to find patterns, build models to address business problems, and present information using various data visualization techniques and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply statistics, machine learning, and analytical approaches to solve business problems, turning the company's volumes of big data into valuable and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with Management to understand business and information needs.
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms to answer critical business questions.
  • Undertake data mining and develop and document robust and scalable data extraction tools where applicable.
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and perform forecasts through intelligent models.
  • Collaborate with the Data Visualization Team to interpret and deliver the results of findings, by visualization techniques, building data science apps, or narrating interesting stories about solutions to the business as well as clients.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management, Data Visualization, and Production teams to improve data governance processes, data quality, and other data management services.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to all internal, and external customers, and work partners.
  • Conduct market research, as well as internal and external networks, to produce meaningful information to be shared and used in the organization.
  • Continuously research and develop new ideas and improved methods, systems, and work processes which lead to higher quality, better results at the same or reduced cost.
  • Stay up-to-date with new advanced analytical techniques that can be applied to your everyday role to improve impact on the business.
  • Prepare and validate data by writing SQL code.
  • Select and implement appropriate data visualisation formats.
  • Assist with mapping and documentation of requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Actuarial Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Statistics). Candidates without a Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems qualification must have some software/data engineering experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

You should have:

  • Solid theoretical predictive modeling, mathematical, and statistical skills.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience across the data science workflow will be advantageous.
  • Highly analytical with strong maths and statistics skills.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools and data frameworks, such as Power BI.
  • Business process mapping abilities.
  • Understanding of machine learning and operations research.
  • Knowledge of R and Python.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for interpreting data.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
