Job Description

The role of the Hotel Systems Operations Specialist is to provide advanced knowledge and skill in technology and general hospitality business knowledge to support business and technology objectives. As a key member of the hotel management team, this position contributes to the implementation, maintenance, and support of hotel-based technology systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist hotel management with technology implementation, end-user support, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • To participate in the resolution of complex technical issues involving multiple vendors and systems.
  • To ensure that all hotel-based technology systems are installed and operated in accordance with Marriott's required standards.
  • To maintain security compliance and data protection across all hotel properties.

Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in IT management within the hospitality industry.
  • Good problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Hotel operations experience and demonstrated hospitality management skills.
  • Experience in network hardware, desktops, peripherals, protocols, communications, operating systems, and Marriott internal applications (MARSHA, Opera, Sales & Catering, etc.).

Technical Skills:

  • Appropriate knowledge of Marriott's EMEA continent standard applications and supporting infrastructure.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Marriott's IT policies and processes.
  • Good understanding and skills of Marriott International's standard office automation applications.
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 10/11, Virtualisation Technologies (VMWare and VDI), Edge Managed Network Switching, WAN/LAN & VPN technologies including MPLS, Internet Security Technologies, Voice IP telephony including Hosted, Marriott International desktop & server build process, Outlook email and approved mobile devices.
