Project Manager - Renewable Energy

At SET Recruitment Consultants, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of our utility scale renewable energy plants. The successful candidate will ensure that work is completed on time, on budget, and of high quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the activities of all parties involved in the project, including EPC Contractors, Original Equipment Suppliers, Operations and Maintenance Contractors, Owners Engineers, and third-party consultants.
  • Manage the construction and operations team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Review and analyze project schedules to identify critical path items and find solutions to prevent or minimize delays.
  • Manage milestone payments, contractor claims, and expenditure forecasting to ensure timely debt and equity drawdowns.
  • Establish earned value versus paid-to-date value to ensure accurate payment to EPC Contractors.
  • Support the Business Development team in negotiating contract terms with EPC and O&M Contractors and third-party consultants.
  • Lead procurement activities with contractors and hire party consultants during operations and construction.
  • Review EPC and O&M Contractors' project quality plans to ensure best international quality standards and practice.
  • Manage quality audit action items to address potential risks.
  • Monitor HSE aspects and address risks with EPC and/or O&M Contractors from a contractual and legislative perspective.
  • Ensure timeous submissions and issuing of EPC and O&M contractors, consultants, and company reports.
Requirements:
  • Engineering, QS, or Construction Management related Degree.
  • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent is highly advantageous.
  • 5-10 years' experience as a Project Manager within the renewable energy industry (utility scale projects).
  • Over 3 years site experience in the Engineering/Construction industry.
  • Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite and MS Projects.
  • Proficiency in other project management software tools.
  • Legislation, Policies, Procedures, and Standards.
  • Project Management.
