Corporate Claims Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Claims Technician with aggregate experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling claims, managing their own area of control, and providing monthly reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Handling: Register all new claims received and raise an appropriate reserve as outlined in the reserving methodology.
- Managing Own Area of Control: Manage own area of control, including claims processing, and provide regular updates to the team leader.
- Monthly Reporting: Provide monthly reporting on claims activity, including key performance indicators.
- Admin Drives: Process invoices and agreements of loss for payment in accordance with SOP and management requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years relevant work experience in short-term insurance claim settlement.
- Results-oriented commitment, proficiency in continuous learning, honesty, and integrity.
- Adaptable to change, strategic thinking, team player, goal-oriented, coaching, and consulting.
- Ability to build good relationships and work well under pressure.

Key Clients:
Brokers, direct clients, managers, directors, suppliers, and fellow employees.

- Timely responses to email and telephonic messages.
- Accurate records kept of all new matters received in the department.
- Maintaining professional behavior and work ethic at all times.
- Displaying personal accountability for own actions, quality of work, and personal development.
- Ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Exhibiting the company's core values at all times.
- Keeping to prescribed hours/timekeeping.
- Team player and adhering to the backup arrangement as required by the department to ensure cohesion.
